hateau Abbaye des Monges is located on the western slopes of the low-lying La Clape mountains between 20 and 47 meters above sea level.

Abbaye des Monges has conglomerate soil (smooth stones buried in a sandy-clay matrix) with alternating layers of sand that are more or less rocky carbonate and muddy yellow.

We are making our vine improvement and treatment techniques better by applying the following reasoned agricultural methods:

• Working and improving the land at the right time using the right solutions,
• Applying the right amount of phytosanitary products without overdosing the    plants.
• Setting up biodynamic agriculture techniques.

At the same time we are using a Differentiated Qualitative Reconversion program which allows us to improve the vineyard's grape varieties year after year.

Old vines (over 50 yrs), like Carignan.
More recent vines: Improvement grape varieties like Syrah, Mourvedre, Grenache, etc …
White wine varieties: Bourboulenc, Rolle, Viognier and Roussane.
